Drawing inspiration from visionaries like Michael Jackson and Missy Elliott — artists who blurred the lines between music, theater, and world-building — MATT creates experiences meant to transport. He writes every lyric and melody himself, ensuring that each song carries his fingerprint and emotional truth.

His path into the industry was anything but traditional. With no roadmap, he began recording covers and crafting demos on YouTube — moments that sparked viral traction and opened unexpected doors. Those early experiments evolved into defining milestones. MATT was personally selected by Jhené Aiko to record at Spotify's Secret Genius Studios — a rare co-sign that affirmed his artistry. He later won a competitive cypher judged by Grammy-winning songwriter James Fauntleroy, further cementing his reputation as a creative force with something unmistakably his own.

His momentum continued when he became a brand ambassador for Venice Music, the distribution company founded by Troy Carter — known for his work with Lady Gaga, the Prince Estate, and Spotify. Through Venice, MATT is currently part of an artist development program designed to support the next generation of global creatives. MATT is also a member of the Recording Academy through GrammyU and is participating as a GrammyU mentee.
